In Fall 2005 Digital Media undergraduates enrolled in DIG 4526: Production 2 created a variety of documentary research projects using new media. During the course of the semester students learned ethnographic research skills including varied interviewing styles, observational techniques, and historical research. They used their original research as the basis for digital media projects incorporating diverse approaches such as Flash animation, digital storytelling, and interactive Web design. Browse this section of the Cultural Heritage Alliance's website to experience aspects of Central Florida culture including: computer gaming culture, World War II civilian wives, Haitian-American and African-American stories of ethnic conflict, Asian foodways, an artist's aesthetics and motivation, and UCF's first multicultural sorority.
